October 2023.10.00 Release

See the information below to learn more about the October 2023.10.00 release:

New Features:

Insurance Information

Insurance information is now added to the Patient Management Tool for some clinics, making it easier to troubleshoot claims issues, and verify insurance information for patients within the 98point6 platform.

Conjunctivitis Practice Standard - Training Here!

The Conjunctivitis Practice Standard is now released and provides recommendations for clinician consideration based on both the diagnosis and treatment of viral, bacterial, and allergic conjunctivitis.

The I think I have pink eye or pink eye trigger the Conjunctivitis Practice Standard for patients 18 years of age and older. (See Conjunctivitis Practice Standard for more information.)

SteadyMD Consult

SteadyMD consults are now enabled for some users.

Updates and Fixes:

Clinic Teams Profiles Tool

Failures were occasionally occurring during attempts to process role and access changes within the Clinic Team Profiles Tool. This issue has been fixed and is now working as expected. (See Clinic Team Profiles Tool for more information about this tool.)

Demographic Fields

During patient registration, both the gender (or sex) assigned at birth and address fields are required and collected at the start of each visit. In the case of a dependent who is the first in their family to receive a visit, there may not be an address or gender assigned at birth to copy from the account holder. This leads to incomplete ADT messages and a failure to load the guarantor. To address this issue, these fields are now automatically filled in, ensuring that ADT messages are fully populated.

Date of Birth Field

The Date of Birth (DOB) field is now moved within the chart, and now displays next to the patient name.

Anxiety and Depression Practice Standard

Phrases that contain the words, anxiety and depression will now trigger the Anxiety and Depression Practice Standard for patients between the ages of 18 and 60, as these risk factors cannot be treated via the virtual care platform. (See Anxiety and Depression Practice Standard Summary for more information.)

Urogenital Practice Standard

A question regarding the patient’s last menstrual cycle is now added to the Urogenital Practice Standard. The urinary tract infection phrase triggers the Urogenital Practice Standard for patients Assigned Female at Birth (AFAB) and between the ages of 18 and 64.

The new menstrual cycle question occurs toward the end of the practice standard interview. (See Urogenital Practice Standard for more information.)

Insurance Coverage Validation

Even though our system validates insurance coverage, the visit is permitted to continue whether coverage exists or not.

SOAP Notes

The following formatting changes have been made to SOAP Notes within the Console:

  • Indentation of content: Content below headers is now indented and no longer left justified.

  • Placeholder text added within the Assessment section: Content is no longer empty if it does not have a response.

These fields will now contain the word None when empty.

  • Reports and Denies section: We now include a Reports and Denies section, advising clinicians of patient responses to chatbot questions.
