Priority Case Assignments

Priority Cases are those that require immediate attention, and are designated as Priority Cases at the top of the queue in the waiting room. The Console currently makes priority case recommendations based on the patient’s chief concern, age, sex assigned at birth, along with additional screening for suicidal ideation.

Priority cases are flagged by the automated bot, allowing you to see these cases displayed within the Priority Cases section of the waiting room dashboard.

NOTE: You should always assign yourself to these cases first when assigning cases manually.

Recommendations

  • It is recommended that a clinician monitor the waiting room at all times to watch for, and immediately assign Priority cases that may otherwise be missed by the system.

  • In no way are the suggestions here intended to replace clinicians. Care suggestions made by the system are intended to both augment, and to help you make care decisions based on the information provided by patients during the bot interview process.

  • The system uses specific trigger words to catch suicidal ideation cases, but all other priority recommendations are made on the patient’s chief concern, age, and sex.
