Epic MRN API

98point6 uses an application programming interface (API) to call the Epic electronic medical records (EMR) for Epic medical record number (MRN) retrieval. (See About APIs to gain a better understanding of APIs and how they are often used in healthcare applications.)

The Epic MRN is then pulled into, and then displayed on the Console, enabling the clinician access to the patient’s medical history.

The MRN is also included in all outbound interface messages, enabling a direct match to the Epic medical record.
